The beginnings of By Mea...
I'm Méryl, creator of the By Mea e-shop.
I wasn't really meant to open an online store...
My vocation was to become a chartered accountant and auditor.
After a CCA master's degree and the DSCG in my pocket, I went to Paris for a year for a position as a financial auditor.
Metro, work, sleep...this life was definitely not made for me.
So I returned to my birthplace Valencia, still doing the same job.
Always passionate about fashion, I could spend hours looking for gems and original pieces on different sites.
Then, once the clothes were received, I had fun creating outfits by assembling the pieces I already had and the new ones.
My shopping budget being limited, I was always on the lookout for good deals (outlet sales, Vinted, sales).
In June 2023, I said to myself: why not get started?
That's when everything happened very quickly: setting up my site, discovering purchases from suppliers, photo shoots, preparing the first orders.
But my work was already very busy, I could not devote myself to it 100%.
It wasn't easy to tell myself that I had to give up my permanent contract with job security.
Despite this, with the hundreds of orders received in November and December, I decided to fully embark on this new adventure...
At the end of January 2024, By Mea had more than 5,000 subscribers, and more than 1,000 orders sent.
